Comments/Additional Information

This is the only degree awarded to high school graduates which enable them to access higher education. The number of subject examined at national level may vary in previous years. The yellow diploma template has security features.

Qualification: diploma is issued after having passed the national examinations, after 12 or 13 years of schooling. Minimum pass grade for each subject is 5 and the final average pass grade must be at least 6.

Subjects: the examinations is taken in 2 parts: one oral in romanian language, mother tongue for minorities, foreign language and IT skills, and written part in romanian language, mother tongue for minorities, and two subjects according to the high school track (humanities/science/vocational/technological).

Grading: each subject at least 5, final average grade at least 6 out of 10 maximum grade.

Awarding period: first session (june-july), second session (august-september).
